Wolverine vs. Spider-Man Part 1

Wolverine

Wolverine vs. Spider-Man, the Canadian Berserker vs. the Wisecracking Webhead, a fight that is rage vs. wit, claws vs. webs, and an adamantium skeleton vs. the spider-sense.

The first to analyze is Wolverine.

Wolverine is a mutant, meaning he has the special x-gene that gives him superhuman abilities. Wolverine’s powers? Bone claws protruding from his knuckles and an insanely powerful healing factor.

Wolverine also has an adamantium skeleton, something he picked up from Weapon X, which gives him the ability to take hits from some of the strongest fighters such as Hulk, Abomination, and more.

With this skeleton and these abilities, also comes a degree of super strength. Wolverine can lift approximately 2 tons and has feats of damaging steel by punching it, kicking giant concrete slabs as if they weighed nothing, busting down metal doors, and breaking so-called unbreakable chains.
Also with that super strength, comes superhuman speed. Wolverine has shown to easily dodge bullets not only from normal gunmen, but marksmen like Deadpool and even faster bullets from a helicopter. Even more he’s shown samurai-like speed where his hands turn to blurs when he slices and dices, has hit speedsters (people who run superhumanly fast until they’re mere blurs), has dodged rockets, and has even made afterimages with his sheer speed (when fighting a clone of his, X-23).

Now to discuss Wolverine’s two greatest attributes, his durability (due to his adamantium skeleton) and his healing factor (due to his mutant powers).

Wolverine’s durability has allowed him to take hits from Grey Hulk, survive being punched across states by Savage Hulk, has tanked explosions that have knocked out Doc Samson (a 90 tonner with great durability), tank a jet’s explosion and kept fighting, and tank other giant explosions, even Hulk’s nuclear thunderclap.

His healing factor (which played a factor in some of those durability feats no doubt) has allowed him to be ran through with a sword and not feel it, have his throat cut and keep talking, be submerged in lava and come out as just a skeleton. He’s also survived nukes point blank and other such attacks.

Finally, adding on to his strength, speed, claws, durability, and healing factor, are his martial arts abilities. Wolverine has fought and beaten some of the greatest martial artists in the marvel universe. From Shang Chi to Iron Fist to Captain America and more, Wolverine’s proven to be easily top 5 in the Marvel Universe in martial arts.

Overall, Wolverine has superhuman strength and speed to potentially keep up with Spider-Man. His durability will make it difficult for Spidey to put him down, and his claws are sharp enough to the point that if he slashes Spidey once, he could kill him.
